Gloria Dei Luthern Church has engaged Ray+Hollington Architects over the last decade on multiple phases of ongoing facilities enhancements
RHA has worked on multiple projects, master planning exercises and renovation projects with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. An initial master plan and 1,200-seat sanctuary were completed in 1998. In 2004, renovation and expansion of the chapel space adjacent to the sanctuary commenced. The project scope included expanded seating, new HVAC and A/V systems, new lighting and new finishes. A year later, GDLC purchased a 46-acre site in a rapidly growing area of League City for the purpose of establishing a second campus to complement its fully developed existing Nassau Bay site. RHA has developed a comprehensive master plan for the new site. Concurrent with the master planning process, RHA designed new common areas at the existing site following Hurricane Ike, including a new coffee bar/parlor and the design and construction of a new “Kidz Space” children’s education area.
