HCHS Student Center Ribbon Cutting

HCHS Student Center Ribbon Cutting

August 20, 2012 — Houston Christian High School celebrated the opening of the newly completed 38,370SF Student Center. The dedication ceremony featured a performance by the marching band, special thanks for the donors, appreciation for the design and construction teams, and prayers for the new opportunities the Student Center will provide for the school and students.

Rounding out the Founder's Circle, the new Student Center features an innovative Learning Commons, outfitted with state-of-the-art technology supporting digital library resources, group learning and individualized study. Small seminar rooms and a conference room offer areas for collaboration, while a multiscreen presentation area makes an impact in a comfortable social setting. A new Dining Commons is home to a full-service coffee bar and food service program, and the second floor provides a classroom wing for the English department and a suite for the College Readiness program. The third floor includes a green roof and terrace overlooking the heart of the campus, with additional space for future classrooms or offices. The Student Center is fast becoming an integral part of the Houston Christian campus and a hub for student life.
