Texana Center Receives LEED Silver Certification

November 3, 2011 — The Texana Center Campus achieved LEED Silver Certification, making it the first LEED certified project in Rosenberg. This mark of environmental stewardship resulted from a team approach to design and construction, as well as a client committed to creating a healthy and sustainable work environment.

Unique features on the site include compact building footprints to maximize open space; preferred parking for low-emitting vehicles and carpools; reflective paving and roofing to reduce the heat-island effect; water-efficient landscaping; low-flow plumbing fixtures; and an efficient mechanical system designed with the aid of computer modeling.
