Incorporating a 140-seat lecture hall, seminar rooms and informal gathering spaces into the former library space

Houston Christian High School recently renovated its former library to house the George and Barbara Bush Student Leadership Center, which includes a small museum displaying memorabilia, correspondence, photographs, etc. A lecture hall with tiered seating for 140 and a state-of-the-art projection system accommodates the assembly of an entire class of students, while offices provide permanent homes for the signature Distinguished Scholars programs. Seminar classrooms with Harkness tables and adjacent break-out spaces facilitate the creative process and allow for seamless transitions between classes and small group sessions. By integrating educational resources with new spaces for student interaction, Houston Christian High School has enhanced its campus with adaptable and valuable amenities.
