A multipurpose room expansion and a two-story administrative wing with a linear canopy, masonry portal and covered drop-off

The John Paul II project is composed of two basic elements: 1) a multipurpose room expansion to the existing gymnasium providing the school with a cafeteria, auditorium and stage, drama/music suite and commercial kitchen, and 2) a two-story administration wing (approximately 7,500 SF). The administration wing created a new front façade, linking the existing classroom building and the gym. The space supports all the administrative and staff functions of the school—principal, business, admissions and counseling offices along with ancillary conference and work facilities. A linear canopy with a masonry portal provides covered drop-off and creates the new entry portal for the campus.
